Risk of Fat Embolism Syndrome for Patients with Long Bone and Pelvic Fractures

In this study, risk of fat embolism syndrome was investigated in 30 patients with long bone and pelvic fracture who were treated in Gazi University Medical Faculty Orthopedic and Traumatology Clinic between 1991 and 1994. A meaningful correlation found between pO2 values and Injury Severity Score (ISS) and Mangled Extremity Severity Score (MESS).
